Business Recovery Helpline is operated by B&T Advisory as a public-facing service for Australian company directors seeking a private first step when their business is under financial pressure.

This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, the Assessment, and any follow-up connected with your Assessment. The Assessment is the only route for service enquiries or callback requests. The privacy contact below is for privacy rights and complaints only.

What we collect

We may collect personal information you choose to provide, including your name, contact details, role in the business, business location, state or postcode, approximate revenue, employee range, urgency, callback preference, and free-text context.

The Assessment may also ask about business pressure indicators, including ATO or tax debt, creditor pressure, debt and payment issues, cash-flow stress, restructuring concerns, liquidation concerns, or other practical signs that your business may need review.

We may collect website and technical information such as your IP address, device type, browser, pages viewed, referral source, advertising campaign data, form events, cookie identifiers, and approximate location data.

Please do not include tax file numbers, identity documents, bank account details, health information, or other highly sensitive personal information unless we specifically ask for it.

How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you use the website or complete the Assessment. We may also collect limited technical information automatically through hosting, analytics, advertising, spam prevention, and form-processing tools.

If you are called back after submitting the Assessment, notes or records connected with that follow-up may also be kept for service, compliance, and quality purposes.

Why we use information

We use personal information to operate the website, receive and review Assessment submissions, understand whether a callback may be appropriate, route enquiries to authorised B&T Advisory recipients, maintain internal lead records, prevent spam or misuse, measure website and advertising performance, improve the service, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

If you do not provide required Assessment information, we may not be able to review your situation or arrange follow-up.

Who we share information with

We may share personal information with B&T Advisory, authorised team members, contractors, professional advisers, and service providers who help operate the website, Assessment, lead routing, email delivery, analytics, advertising, hosting, security, and internal records.

Assessment submissions may be routed through Microsoft Outlook and recorded in Google Sheets for review and follow-up by authorised recipients.

We use selected service providers to operate, measure and secure the website and Assessment, including Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Ads, Google Sheets, Microsoft Outlook and Cloudflare.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to respond to legal processes, to protect rights or safety, or to investigate suspected misuse of the website.

We do not sell Assessment information to unrelated lead buyers or disclose it to unrelated organisations for their own marketing.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website may use cookies, pixels, tags, session recording or behavioural analytics tools from Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Ads to understand website usage, measure advertising performance and improve the Assessment experience.

These tools may collect technical and campaign information about your visit. You can control cookies through your browser or platform settings, although some site functions may not work as intended if cookies are blocked.

Marketing and follow-up

We may send service messages connected with your Assessment or callback request. We may send marketing or educational messages only where we have consent or are otherwise permitted to do so.

Commercial electronic messages will identify the sender and include a clear way to unsubscribe. We will action unsubscribe requests in line with Spam Act requirements.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. These steps may include access controls, secure cloud services, limited internal permissions, and staff or contractor handling rules.

No website, email, form, or cloud system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please only submit information you are comfortable providing through the Assessment.
